Ability to publish or schedule Instagram Stories. Want to publish Instagram Stories using Agorapulse? Now you can! Here’s how to do this on your business profiles.
First, make sure you’ve installed the Agorapulse mobile app on either your iOS or Android device.
Then, go to the settings for your business profile on the desktop version of Agorapulse. Business profiles by default are set to direct publishing. If you want to publish stories, you’ll need to disable the direct publishing option in your profile settings.
Prepare the post as you normally would on desktop. Select publish, queue, or schedule for that post. Upon receiving a push notification on your mobile device, go to the Agorapulse app to see the post. Tap on “Share on Instagram.”
Simply tap “Story,” add any native Story effects you’d like, and publish it.
Timezone and time are now accurate and easy to spot. If your social profile timezone (set in your profile settings) is different than your browser timezone, we’ll show you the profile time and timezone on the publishing calendar view.
Take this example. I’m based in Paris but the setting for the Agorapulse Facebook Page is set for Chicago. See how Chicago’s time and timezone are shown here?
🚦FEATURE NOTE🚦 In anticipation of upcoming Instagram API restrictions for third-party tools, it’s no longer be possible to add personal profiles to your Agorapulse subscription. And on December 11, you will no longer be able to manage existing Instagram personal profiles on your subscription. The process to convert your personal profile to a business one is quite simple; we’ve provided instructions here.
If users on your subscription work with different time zone settings, the time display on the publishing calendar and and queueing didn’t display the same hour. It’s now fixed.
If you publish a video post natively on LinkedIn, you’ll now see the post in your publishing calendar, the comments for that post in your Inbox, and the post counted in the “Published posts” section in your LinkedIn reports.
+6 other bug fixes to make your social media management even easier.
This release improves the way you see your inbox, listening, and publishing content.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Choose your date/time format. Make your publishing calendar work best for you. You can now choose either:
Sunday or Monday to start your week
12-hour or 24-hour to indicate the time
mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy to indicate the date
Whatever you choose in your settings is individual to you and your style. So if you live in the USA and adjust your settings to the US time/day options, this won’t affect your teammate in, say, France, who prefers the European way of indicating time/day.
Thumbnail in Inbox and Listening. If an Inbox or Listening item contains a photo or video, we now display it as a thumbnail.
We also completed 16 bug fixes to make your social media management even easier.
This release has features that will help you more easily name queue categories. You'll also gain greater insight into your publishing calendar and published items. Let's dig in.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Easier queue category management and naming. Our new queue category drop down gives you great options for better category management. You can now:
Set any queue category as "Default."
Rename any category (including the default category)
Delete any category (including the default category)
Queue category exports. Know what else you can now do with queue categories? Export the text and external links of each tweet/post in a queue in a handy CSV file. Have a client who wants to see what you’ve queued but you don’t want them to have access to your account? Simply send them the CSV. The file is also a helpful way to share your queued content with teammates who have tool-phobia.
Are you reading all this and wondering what Queue Categories are? They're a great way to organize your queued content and stick to your content strategy. Here's how some of our users set up their queue categories.
Report comments as spam on YouTube. You now have the ability to report YouTube comments as spam. Unlike our "hide" function, this also sends YouTube information about the user who left spam on your video.
New options to see published conversations. Our publishing modal now lets you see the stats and history of your published posts, comments, and messages.
For details on your posts and comments, click on the "Details" button.
You'll receive the stats on a post...
...and the thread and original post/tweet from a comment you published.
To get context on a private messages, click "Open Conversation" ...
... and you'll get the history of the message with options to reply or assign the message to a teammate.
If your Instagram business profile is connected to Agorapulse, you will now be allowed to write up to 2,200 characters in the comments. Personal profiles are still limited to 300 characters.
Dynamic Ads have been temporarily removed from the Agorapulse Inbox synchronization. We're working to improve the feature and deliver a much better user experience.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Twitter DMs were erroneously shown as published tweets in the publishing calendar. This has been fixed.
... +21 other bug fixes to make your social media management even easier.
We've spent this past year building out our publishing capabilities -- from queue categories to Facebook Groups publishing. Then we thought, why not also improve the tabs that give you insight into all that you publish with Agorapulse? With that, we've improved the interface and experience of your publishing calendar and queue categories.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Publishing calendar improvements. We've made our publishing calendar even easier to use. The colors more clearly tell you what content is scheduled, queued, published, and failed. To approve (by a team member) and assigned-to-me content is also highlighted in the calendar for each of your social profiles.
For easier navigation, the filters + settings moved to the left-hand side.
Want more details on an item in your calendar? Simply click on it to see a preview.
If you want to get more details on the post or edit it, click that "View" button to instantly get the editing modal for that piece of content.
Need to schedule a piece of content for a particular day? It's easy to do on the calendar view. Hover over the day you want the post to go live and when you see the paper airplane icon, click it to begin composing your to-be-scheduled post or tweet.
Our revised queue category tab now highlights which queued posts need to be reviewed by a teammate.
And our To Approve section is now a scrollable page where you see the full content of what's to be approved by your team.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
LinkedIn click and share counts were not shown in the published post detail view metrics. They appear now.
The open link to open a "reply in DM" message wasn't working. It is now.
Facebook doesn’t allow us to easily access Facebook users' profile URLs. Thus, in the user column of the inbox, we removed the non-working link to a user profile.
+ 10 other bug fixes to make your Agorapulse experience even easier.
Just when you thought you had enough to manage your LinkedIn pages and profiles on Agorapulse, we've added even MORE functionality.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Downloadable LinkedIn reports. If you manage a company page on LinkedIn, you'll be able to get a one-click, downloadable PowerPoint deck of your page's stats.
User tagging in LinkedIn inbox comments. You can now @mention someone who leaves a comment on one of your posts. This can be done simply by selecting the checkbox in your reply to that user.
This is what it will look like on LinkedIn. Neat, huh?
Saved replies on LinkedIn. Saved replies are a great way to breeze through your inbox comments. If you use "canned responses" in email, you'll love the ease of this feature. Now available on LinkedIn (and is already available for your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube inboxes.)
LinkedIn Inbox Assistant. Want another way to quickly clear the items in your LinkedIn inbox? Why not set rules with Inbox Assistant to automatically review, assign, or delete items that come your way.
Content labeling with Inbox Assistant. Whether you use Inbox Assistant to better manage your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn profiles, you can now set a rule to label your content for easy organization and retrieval later on.
The Facebook API doesn’t allow @mentions in groups. So say you want to multipublish to a Twitter profile and a Facebook group and want to include an @mention. The Twitter @mention will appear linked but the Facebook group mention will appear as plain text.
🐞 BUG FIX🐞
We didn’t sync comments under Facebook Recommendations due to recent Facebook API changes. It's fixed now.
+ 6 other bug fixes to make your Agorapulse experience even easier.
Happy October! An exciting week here at Agorapulse as we are pleased to launch a feature that has been our wishlist for a long time. (Might it have been on your wishlist too?)
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Facebook Groups Publishing. All the great publishing and scheduling features you know and love for your Facebook page can now be applied to Facebook groups.
Take advantage of the great features you're used to with Facebook Pages -- scheduling options like republishing (great for regularly sharing community guidelines) and queue categories to keep your content strategy on point.
You can also publish images to a particular photo album to keep your visual content well organized.
A couple things to keep in mind before you go to your dashboard and connect your Facebook group.
*You must have admin rights to the group in order to publish. If you're not an admin, kindly ask an admin on your account to upgrade your role.
*Please note the word "publishing" in the header. If you’d also like a Facebook Group inbox in the future, let us know on our feature request site.
New login and team invitation pages. We’ve improved the design and functionality of some of our more popular pages for an easier experience getting started with Agorapulse. Here's our sign in page ...
... and our team invitation page.
Managing anonymous users on Facebook Pages. We now allow you to see inbox and listening content from users who have told Facebook that they don’t want third-party tools knowing their identity.
Managing anonymous users on LinkedIn pages and profiles. Continuing the “anon” thread, we now allow you to see inbox content from users who have told LinkedIn that they don’t want third-party tools knowing their identity. This content is now shown from “anonymous” users.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Some assigned posts were not appearing in the "Assigned to Me" tab. This is now fixed.
Images were not attached to comments in LinkedIn. They are now.
Some content reports had formatting issues. The issues have been resolved.
LinkedIn content reports had missing data for clicks and shares in the downloadable version. The data is there now. The number of reviewed items didn’t properly add up. It does now.
You can now reply in DM to a user who might not be following you (provided that this person has allowed Twitter to send then DMs from users that s/he isn’t following).
+ 9 other bug fixes to make your Agorapulse experience even easier.
This latest release has a super heavy focus on Instagram. There's something in this release for users with Instagram business profiles, Instagram personal profiles -- and even those who don't have ANY Instagram profiles linked to Agorapulse.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
If you manage your Instagram presence with Agorapulse, chances are it's with a business profile. As you might already know, there are several advantages to using an Instagram business profile. And as your social media management tool, we enable you to take advantage of the additional functionality that only an Instagram business profile can provide.
Capturing Instagram brand mentions. Here's an example of what we can offer business profiles -- the ability for us to capture mentions of your brand in your listening feed. Whenever a public account mentions you in a post or comment, you'll see it here.
Instagram threaded post replies. Threaded replies allow you to more easily read and reply to comments left on your Instagram posts. This too is available just for business profiles.
Real-time update for inbox and listening items. Business profiles can stay on top of all inbox items and brand mentions with real-time updates.
Easier switching to a business profile. Over 80 percent of the Instagram profiles hooked up to Agorapulse are business profiles. If you still don't use an Instagram business profile, we think you'd really like the extra management perks you'll get with it.
So in your inbox and listening tabs, we'll present you with an option to connect-and-convert your personal profile to a business one.
Instagram push notification display. If you prefer push notifications to direct Instagram publishing, you'll be able to see push posts much easier now.
In the publishing calendar, you'll see an icon indicating that someone on your team has received a push notification for the selected post.
Click on that icon and you'll see when the push notification was sent and to whom. This is especially handy if you are on a team with several people managing Instagram profiles. #transparency
New connect for Instagram profiles. If you haven't yet linked ANY Instagram profiles to your Agorapulse subscription but think it's about time to do so, we make it easy for you to add a business or personal profile.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
If you are signed into Agorapulse on two browser tabs at the same time, it should no longer result in a timeout.
Moderation rules containing a punctuation mark (e.g. question mark “?”) should no longer match phrases that contained a space.
Our URL parser can now identify all links containing the hash/pound sign.
After you published an item on Twitter and started a new post, we automatically selected a preview for Facebook. This has been fixed.
The ordering of content being added to the queue is now as you wish them to appear.
The number of private messages sent now appears in the Response Time report.
Are you a big fan of digital assistants like Siri or Alexa? We are too. That's why we created Moderation Rules for Agorapulse. Simply set up commands (or "rules") and let the rules work wonders on items in your inbox. With these rules, you can wake up to a spam-free inbox -- imagine that?
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Simpler creation of new rules. We've improved the interface of moderation rules to be easier to build new rules.
A. Choose which rule you want to perform from the top dropdown selector.
B. (on second image) Hover over one of the options to get more detail on what type of inbox items it can be used on (ex. direct messages, comments).
C. Once you've selected a rule, you'll see a confirmation statement of what the rule will do -- in this case, your "hide and assign" rule will be applied to posts and comments.
D. If you've chosen an assign rule, as we did, you'll see a list of team members you can assign the rule to.
E. If you'd like the rule to do even more, like bookmark or label, you can select your action(s) from the Additional Actions list.
If you've used these moderation rules before, you'll see how much easier it is to create new rules. If you haven't tried these out, why not try today? They're available for on our plans.
Pause moderation rules. Don't need your rule to keep running to infinity and beyond? Simply move the toggle of the rule to "off." This is helpful, say, if you've set "Assign" rules to someone on vacation -- simply turn it off when they're away and turn it back on when they've returned to the office.
More Facebook ad account display options. We recently allowed you to track ad comments on multiple ad accounts. When selecting which ad accounts to choose from, you were limited to only seeing 500 of your ad accounts.
Our customers asked for more ad accounts, so we've upped the display number to 1,000 of your ad accounts.
If you want to learn more about monitoring ad comments, this article is pretty helpful. (I'm not just saying that because I wrote it ;) )
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞 Some of you were not able to reconnect your LinkedIn account on Agorapulse. You can now.
You might have received a huge error message when publishing to Instagram. Not to worry; that content published as you requested. (We've also made sure that our error messages are considerably shorter going forward.)
Labelled conversations disappeared from the inbox when filtering on the tag. They now appear.
It was impossible to parse/recognize images on some links when publishing. It's possible now.
When you used the "schedule again" option, the post might not have published at the requested time. It will now.
If you used UTM parameters for links in your bulk publishing, the parameters weren't saved. They are now. (We also made some other small fixes to bulk publishing.)
Images weren't attached to direct messages on Twitter. It's resolved. (I've been using it and can confirm this firsthand.)
You might have faced an error when creating/removing queue slots. This is fixed.
Did you recently see old comments synced on your Facebook ads? That shouldn't happen again.
If you enabled email notifications in your moderation rules, you might not have received emails. It is fixed now.
That's the most noticeable tip of the bug fixing iceberg. We also fixed nearly a dozen other bugs to make your experience tons better.
In addition to writing the public Release Notes for you, I also am the person who responds to all the Agorapulse reviews on sites like TrustRadius. Lately, we've gotten tons of great feedback there on our user interface and user experience. (Have a peek to see for yourself.)
We could rest on our laurels and simply nod at these nice reviews. But instead, we're hard at work to make our tool even easier to manage your social profiles. Let me fill you in on what we've been up to.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Timezone picker. We mentioned in last week's update that if you use Agorapulse as a worldwide team, the timezone attached to your scheduled and queued posts will not vary -- your content will be set to the timezone you all decide is best. The decision for your team to choose the best timezone might take a while, but the process to select one on Agorapulse is now simpler than ever.
Start typing the city or country and you'll instantly see the options available to you.
Easier access to profile settings. We've made the left navigation panel on your dashboard easier to manage your social profile settings. You can now make profile tweaks in these three locations.
The top settings/gear/cog icon on top of your profiles allows you to rearrange the order of your profiles and create groups (by social network, client, you name it -- literally).
Under your bottommost profile, you'll see "Add a profile." If your planallows for more profiles, go for it! Connect whatever Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or Google+ profile you'd like to manage.
Above your user pic in the lower left-hand corner of your dashboard, you'll see "Manage my profiles" where you can get a birds-eye view of all the profiles linked to your Agorapulse subscription.
Higher character allotment for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google+. You can now say more on Agorapulse. Post up to 5,000 characters on Facebook,
2,200 on Instagram, 3,000 on LinkedIn, and 5,000
characters on Google+.
Non-Latin support for Inbox Assistant moderation rules. You can now create inbox moderation rules using non-Latin characters. Great for those tracking Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, or other non-ABC words.
Comparative data report enhancement. If your social profile doesn't have data of a prior period to compare to, we don’t display 0% as metric. We simply hide that data point to avoid confusion or bummed out faces.
Facebook no longer allows for audience targeting on posts with multiple photos. We've thus disabled this option.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
When targeting your Facebook posts by country, you can start typing a country and we’ll automatically pre-select the corresponding country name. On your Settings > Social Profiles page, you can easily spot (and reactivate) tokens that will soon expire or have expired. LinkedIn profiles/pages and Instagram business profiles need to be renewed regularly per these social networks' APIs.
It wasn't possible to publish LinkedIn links using our publisher in the past. It’s possible now.
Before, you were not able edit the scheduled date of a past item. You can now.
Ad comments were synchronizedwith an unusually long delay. That delay is gone with the wind.
There was an issue removing managers from profile settings when a subscription had reached its maximum user count. Now, when a plan has reached its user limits, the “invite” button is disabled and we display a message for the plan's subscriber to upgrade her plan.
Team members weren't removed when a user downgraded her plan. Now, when you downgrade your subscription, the number of team members will be reduced to the profile's limit of your plan. If you downgrade to a small plan, you'll be the lone admin on all your plan's profiles.
In last week's Release Note, I squeed about our new LinkedIn reports and inbox. These features were in addition to our existing LinkedIn publishing capabilities.
But we didn't want publishing to feel like it wasn't getting special treatment just because it's been around the block for a while. So we gave it a tiny-yet-massive improvement.
We also made some enhancements to make your publishing on Agorapulse even easier to manage.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
LinkedIn image posting -- without image links. Now that we're hooked up to the LinkedIn v2 API, we can allow posts with images to be published without links to the image. So you can go from this ...
... to this. As you'll see, there's no link to the image (like we used to have to do). The post simply contains your text and a photo -- just like you set it up in Agorapulse.
As long as you upload only one image that isn't too large (< 5MB) and is in JPG, PNG, or non-animated GIF, you should get the very same results.
Twitter images in direct messages. Why not add more images elsewhere -- say, your Twitter DMs? We now let you do this from your Agorapulse dashboard.
Profile-specific timezone settings. Gone are the days of us setting your posts' timing based on your browser. You can now customize each of your social profiles to the timezone of your choosing. This time will be applied to all your team's posts. So if you've set the profile's timezone to London time but you work in Ubud and your assistant is in Los Angeles, the timezone on your queued or schedule posts will all be set to London time.
You can establish the chosen timezone in your profile's General Publishing settings.
And at any time, your team can see a profile's chosen timezone at the top of your publishing calendar...
...and in the scheduling options of your posts.
Pro Tip: Decide as a team what the timezone will be for each social profile to eliminate heated Slack discussions later on.
Customized publishing "memory."
We've started to remember what actions and profiles you used and serve them to you the next time you want to publish.
Say for example, the last time you used the publisher, you queued a post. The next time you go to the publisher, the "add to queue" option will be selected. If you last sent that post to the queue of your favorite client's Instagram profile, we'll have that profile checked the next time you go to publish.
Of course, you can change the way you publish and the profile you publish to. We're just trying to work the way you do.
Clarity from your Facebook ads and ad comments. You can now clearly see which of your posts are sponsored -- you can also easily see which of your comments came from a sponsored post.
Increased publishing calendar display.
Our publishing calendar now displays up to 10,000 of your posts each month. Might this encourage you to schedule or queue more posts?
Facebook is changing the way users can leave "Reviews." Now called "Recommendations," users leave a thumbs up or thumbs down instead of a star rating. We capture these, along with their respective comments, under the "Reviews" tab so you can easily respond to them -- whether they're good, bad, or somewhere in between.
On August 1st, Facebook removed share count data from post Insights, so we can't use this data anymore in the daily graph in your Reports. We had to update the Reports in order to use the global shareCount metric from the posts.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞 Earlier this month, we replaced the label Impressions with Reach in our content reports. We thus changed it in our downloadable CSV reports and key metric metrics.
If a term in a moderation rule had an apostrophe (ex. doesn't, Wegman's, Macy's), the moderation rule was not applied. It will work now.
LinkedIn profiles did not display the counter of items to review in the inbox. You'll see the counter now.
Users (like me) faced an error when trying to download a report from the in-app notification link or from the link in their weekly report email. The download works fine now.
Replies sent were not reflected in Instagram reports (well, they appeared as zero). They appear correctly now.
When a user deleted his/her account on Agorapulse, and then wanted to sign up again, he/she was not able to do so due to a problem in our database. This should be resolved.
You no longer have to wait until links are parsed when bulk publishing for links to appear properly. Parsing happens much quicker now.
It is now possible to load previous/next messages in a private message conversation when more than 20 of the messages were unreviewed. Fixed.
If you receive a multi-photo private message in Facebook, you'll now see all the images correctly.
Clicks were empty in Facebook Content reports. If your posts receive clicks, you'll see them now.
One feature that our customers love is the ability to run unlimited reports. Until this week, we offered it for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. But now -- B2B marketers rejoice -- we offer reports for LinkedIn! This is just one "SCORE!" of our LinkedIn hat trick this week.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
LinkedIn Reports. Yes, I said it! We offer reports for your company pages. With a click on your "Reports" tab, you can instantly get your global stats. Clicking on "Content" produces a CSV of your posts during the timeframe you designate. You won't yet be able to download a PowerPoint report -- but we're getting that for you soon.
LinkedIn Inbox. Our dev team was like, "Since we're in here, why don't we go LinkedIn bananas and offer an inbox for users?" It didn't even take us a hot second to say, "Yes, please!"
The inbox is available for both company pages and profiles. You can easily find all the comments on your LinkedIn posts. Go down the list and like, reply, remove, assign, review, label, or bookmark your comments.
Built-in LinkedIn CRM. If you already use the built-in CRM in your "Fans & Followers" tab, you'll be happy to use it for LinkedIn! With one click you can instantly see who has commented on your profile or company page posts.
If you want to make use of our LinkedIn Reports, Inbox, or Fans & Followers, you'll need to click a CTA button you'll see on your dashboard to reconnect with LinkedIn so that we can connect your account to the latest LinkedIn API.
UTM Parameters. Do you track links sent from social? It's easy to do on Agorapulse with our new UTM tracking function.
Facebook private message file and video attachments sync. We now sync attachments to private conversations in Facebook -- video files, .pdf, .txt, audio files, and the like. Videos attached in the PM can be played directly in the conversation view. Other file attachments will be downloaded when you click on the link of the given file.
Display of message sent as a reply in private or direct message. We now show the info and content of replies sent via PM or DM through Agorapulse. This info is shown every time a given comment is viewed/opened in detail.
Instagram direct publishing deactivation notification. If Instagram direct publishing is ever deactivated from your profile, we will now send you a notification -- both via email and in your dashboard -- so that an admin on that profile can reconnect with Instagram and get your content published.
Manager's name on failed/scheduled/queued posts. We now show the author/creator of failed, scheduled, and queued posts. A nice improvement for even better social media collaboration.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Layout issues with Team settings in Mozilla Firefox browser are rectified.
When uploading our sample CSV for bulk publishing, you may have received a warning message. You shouldn't see that anymore.
There were issues showing the allocated number of social profiles with your subscription. You should now see the correct count.
Some users who published to 40+ profiles at once received a timeout error (since this request took too long to be processed). The fix is that “Publish now” is now alias for "Schedule at the current date/time."
When we listed accounts for Facebook or Instagram, we didn't check for the corresponding token. We do now.
When you saved a new queue category and came back, the skip item option defaulted to the “Previous 3 days” setting. Fixed now.
Images that seemed large in the preview of LinkedIn posts were small when published. This should be fixed with the new V2 LinkedIn API.
"View on LinkedIn" now works from the published item modal. Yes!
If you monitor your Facebook and Instagram ads comments using Agorapulse, get ready -- we have some new options to make your ads comments management even easier.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Multiple ad accounts for each Facebook and Instagram profile. We're delighted to launch another highly requested feature: the ability to link more than one ad account to each of your Facebook and Instagram profiles. As you might know, we offer the ability to monitor Facebook ad comments and Instagram ad comments -- and are pretty darn good at it (this article has the numbers to back up my bravado).
Historically, you were only allowed to link one ad account per social profile. Now, however, you can connect and select multiple ad accounts at a time.
As you see from this example, an admin can view another admin’s settings, but cannot change them unless you are an admin on the given ad account. Easier Instagram Ad account selection. When configuring your Instagram ad account, you no longer have to select among your Instagram profiles. We will automatically pre-select the appropriate Instagram profile for you. Now you can start monitoring your ad comments even quicker! "Tag" users in your Instagram posts. Truth is, this is something we discovered (and didn't create). If you add someone's @username in a post you publish/schedule/queue on Agorapulse, Instagram will automatically create the hyperlinked mention when the post goes live.
Check it out. I typed it @massmoca here on my publishing modal...
... and it appears in blue in my Instagram feed. Sweet!
Note: this works only for direct publishing/business accounts.
Profile photo option. Need to look at a different photo of you on Agorapulse? If you signed up with your Facebook account, you can change your profile picture to something else in your Agorapulse Settings. If you signed up with Agorapulse using your email address, then upload something you want to look at day in and day out. (Keep in mind it's also something your teammates will see with our real-time collaboration features.)
Facebook no longer gives third-party apps the ability to target posts by language. That will explain why you no longer see this option on your publishing modal. Get the skinny from this Facebook Developers doc.
In your Content reports, the term "Impressions" is now properly labelled "Reach." Since we take this metric from "Lifetime Post Total Reach" from Facebook Insights, we adapted the label here.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
We made a fix that should solve three issues related to your assigned items. So if you use our team workflow, you'll now be free of:
Wrong counters of unreviewed Inbox items
Items remained assigned even though they'd already been reviewed
"Oldest first" sorting not working
After adding a LinkedIn account, you might have been redirected to Settings. You will now be redirected to the account’s Inbox (the correct location).
You might have noticed items missing in Conversations (even though they existed) when replying in PM. This should be fixed now.
If you boosted a Facebook post on a day other than when it was originally published (for example you publish a post on Monday but don't boost it until Wednesday), we have moved the post in your Publishing calendar to the day when it was boosted. Why? Because keeping the original publishing date would not let us sync the latest comments. To keep better track of your original pub date and boosted date, we now show that the post was originally published on Date1 and then boosted on Date2.
When a user tagged a message (conversation, PM), it counted towards the 'Posts' category in Tags distribution report. That was incorrect and is now fixed.
When a user uploaded a video file, the thumbnail automatically played without the possibility to stop it (unless you removed the video). Autoplay is now disabled on video files.
Man, I wish it could be Christmas every week -- whereby I'm able to offer you a great new feature or improved usability of a particular function on Agorapulse.
This is just not one of those weeks.
That's not to say that we're away from our desks. Our dev and QA team have been rather busy squashing bugs to improve the performance of what you do each day on our li'l social media marketing tool.
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Facebook conversations sync. Some users have faced an issue when old images were synced as new Conversations (PMs) or new conversations were created for users for whom there already was a thread. This should be fixed now.
Facebook login token. If you had your Agorapulse login page open for a while (15+mins) and then tried to log in, you might have received an "invalid Facebook token" error. You shouldn't see that anymore.
Status of replies in PM/DM. When an admin replied to a comment or post in a private message, we did not indicate that the message was sent.(We showed “Reply in progress.") We now list the message as sent when an admin views the detail of that message.
Our Twitter Report Card. Our free Twitter Analytics tool was stuck on fetching data after a user connected her/his Twitter account. Fixed. (BTW, I've been in love with this tool from Day One. Try it and let me know what you think.)
Restarting a free trial. If a user tried to restart a free trial of Agorapulse, s/he might have received an unusual error message and couldn't restart that trial. This has been fixed.
Now it's even easier to use Agorapulse for teams and to tag public Pages on Facebook -- read on to learn more.
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Internal notes to Twitter DM & Facebook PM conversations. What a cool feature for teams! Now you can add an internal note in private conversation on Facebook or Twitter. This enables team members to give status updates to each other. If you'd like to bring something to the attention of a particular team member, you can even assign the message trail to them.
You can see that we now have "tabs" in the reply input: Reply and Note. The key to make this all work correctly is to use the tab "Note." (After all, there are some things best kept internally, KWIM?)
This function is in addition to the other team collaboration and CRM note features we offer. If you haven't tried those out, you should! (I use them all the time.)
Facebook search when tagging. For those who remember my June 26 release note, you'll remember that I explained that while Facebook tagging was back, it wasn't back as you remembered. You had to do some Facebook name research before you started tagging.
Yes, it wasn't ideal. So we made it better.
Simply type in the name of a public Page and you'll see the options, along with verified check marks and locations (when applicable). This will save you a whole bunch of time!
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Twitter DM assignments. It wasn't possible to assign Twitter direct messages. It is now.
Adding a new Instagram profile. If you tried to switch Instagram profiles on Instagram while adding it to the platform, you faced an "Undefined error." You can now switch accounts as many times as you want and you'll still be able to finish the setup. Fixed.
LinkedIn & Google+ timeout messages. You might have received an "Unknown Error" failure message when publishing some items to LinkedIn or Google+. This dealt with a timeout issue that has been resolved.
This release has some great improvements for serious social media managers. Wanna learn more?
🎁 FEATURES 🎁
Expanded bit.ly integration. We've had bitly integration with Twitter for some time. However, we felt it was time to also offer it for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+.
Haven't linked your bitly account yet? Simply go into the Publishing settings of the profile you want to link, press the orange button, and let the link tracking commence!
Advanced inbox clearing functions.
Do you need to get through your busy inbox as efficiently as possible? Got tons of inbox items at any given moment? We got you.
If you enable the "auto advance Inbox" feature in your user settings, you're in for a treat. After you send a reply to an item in your inbox, you'll automatically see the next item highlighted in your inbox. With seconds saved with each inbox item, you're bound to save tons of time each week!
🐞 BUG FIXES🐞
Issues when publishing GIF: In the past, if you tried to publish a link or image with an invalid GIF, it might have failed without an error message. We now display an "Invalid Media" error message which indicates that the media is the problem.
Issues with Instagram publishing: More than half of our recent publishing errors on Instagram received a Timeout error message. We will now try to retry to publish these items up to 5 times behind the scenes. There's nothing you need to do. If we reach a fifth unsuccessful attempt, we will send you a "Publishing Failed" notification.
Posts from visitors where not marked as reviewed: When an admin replied to a Facebook visitor post in the Inbox, it was not marked as reviewed. These wall replies are now marked as review for your reference.
Harmful combination of multiple moderation rules: Many issues arose when users set more than one rule per moderation search term.
Because of this, we've decided to establish the following guidelines.
Only one rule can be applied per the same moderation term.
The first moderation rule in the list will be the one implemented. See the image above? You'll see that there are two rules set for the word "agora" -- one to assign and one to review. Since the "assign" rule is first on the list, the moderation rule will assign items with "agora." The second "review" rule will not be applied to the word "agora."
If you don't like the order of the moderation rules in your settings, you can change them with the up/down arrow buttons.
